We are based in Rayleigh, Essex.
Food Hygiene and Food Safety is very important to us (and anyone who works with/for us) therefore all staff hold a full Level 2 Food Hygiene for Caterers Certificate. We are also registered with our local councils environmental health department and hold the maximum 5* rating with them for Food Safety - you can check our (or any food business) rating here http://ratings.food.gov.uk/. We also hold a British Safety Council Health & Safety at work Level 1 Certificate as well as all of our course equipment used during our Masterclasses is PAT tested. Love Cupcake/Cheri Bakewells is also fully insured.
We are trained by bakers in the cake industry with over 20 years experience as well as being trained at the Peggy Porschen Academy in London, with ongoing training scheduled to keep our skills refreshed and up to date.
We currently offer Cakes, Cupcakes, Mini Cakes, Mini Cupcakes & Favours, Giant Cupcakes, & Cake Pops. For Bespoke iced biscuit favours, posh party bags and other baked goodies, please check out our biscuit company Cheri Bakewells.
Our Cupcakes start from £2.75 each , Our cake pops are £2 each, Giant Cupcakes start from £50 and our wedding cakes vary depending on size and styles although normally start from around the £225 mark.
For our cupcake and cookie gift boxes, we offer free local delivery within 3 miles. For over 3 miles (up to a maximum of 10 miles), we charge a £5 delivery charge. We offer a free delivery and set up service for our weddings and large events for most venues within Essex.
For weddings and large event set-up's we deliver at specified times. For gift box delivery we are unfortunately unable to guarantee a specified time of delivery although can work to an AM (10am-12pm) or a PM (12pm -4pm slot) - please specify your preference on your order form.
Our Cupcakes are packaged in compartmentalised bakery boxes with a window (to keep them upright and safe on the journey so that they reach you in perfect condition). Gift tag and ribbon may be added for £1.
Our minimum order is 12 cupcakes.

For small boxes and bookings we ask for a weeks notice although sometimes we do have last minute availability too. For weddings and large bookings we only take one large booking on any one day and do get very busy around wedding season so we do recommend booking in advance for weddings to ensure you don't miss out on your date.
We currently accept payments via paypal, card or bank transfer.
We do offer stand hire and have a selection of approximately 30 stands ranging from small china stands holding around 6 cupcakes, wire stands and also acrylic stands holding 100's of cupcakes!
We only ever bake to order, we never freeze our cupcakes or bake far in advance. We always bake on the day, or at the earliest the night before for large bookings or weddings ready for their morning journey to the weddings.
We use free range eggs, high quality caster sugars and flours, real ingredients and extracts (we never use essences or artificial flavourings) and organic british butters. The chocolates we use are normally Lindt or Green & Blacks 70% minimum cocoa bars.
If you can resist not eating them on the same day, our cupcakes will last 2-3 days.
Yes we do. We offer a box 6 free sample cupcakes to all of our brides to be (and grooms too!) if you have already booked with us. (collection only)
Yes our wedding service includes set up on the morning of your wedding. We will liaise with your venue to arrange the set up time.
Although not all of our cakes and cupcakes contain nuts, we do have a couple of flavours that do include nuts and therefore are unable to guarantee our cupcakes are nut free. As nuts are sometimes used in our kitchen and we do work with marzipan, even our cakes and cupcakes that do not contain nuts may not be suitable for sensitive nut allergy sufferers.
Yes of course! You may alternate the colours/cases on any of our designs.
Yes, most of our work is bespoke work so if you can't find what you are looking for just let us know and we'll be happy to design your perfect cake or cupcakes!
