Gemma, also known as Mrs LC and is the bespoke cupcake designer and teacher at the Love Cupcake Masterclasses at Love Cupcake. Cheri aka “Cheri Bakewells” is the bespoke cookie designer.
Gemma grew up in a small village in Essex and after many years enjoying baking as a hobby, she finally took the plunge and launched Love Cupcake in January 2010 and after a whirlwind time, never looked back! It’s a massive part of her life and whilst being a total perfectionist and working really hard with her designers, the LC logo was born and Love Cupcake began spreading across the UK (and the world!) – with now over 4000 followers on Twitter & Facebook from all over the world!
We decided that we would only use the finest ingredients, local where possible, free range eggs, and the finest luxury chocolates and natural extracts to produce the most tasty cupcakes possible. Since then our range has grown from just Cupcakes to Mini Cakes, Top Cakes, Giant Cupcakes and the newest trend, Cake Pops and Push Pops! Not only that but we take ongoing training ourselves by professional bakers to keep our skills fresh and ideas modern. In addition to our cake skills, our kitchen is also fully registered and inspected by Environmental Health with the maximum 5 star rating, we hold a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Caterers Certificate, as well as being Health and Safety and First Aid trained. Our ever popular Masterclasses are the apple of our eye and we’ve inspired many students to go away and launch their own business in Cupcakes! Our classes are friendly, relaxed but professional and you can ask as many questions as you like
